On June 19, 1990, the two major Tyre Manufacturers at home, Shanghai Dazhonghua Rubber Tyre Factory and Shanghai Zhengtai Rubber Tyre Factory, founded in the 1920s as the earliest tyre manufacturers in China, set up Shanghai Tyre & Rubber (Group) Company through strong union and merger. In May of 1992 the Company became a public listed company that issued A\B stocks for the first time in the domestic tyre industry and renamed as Shanghai Tyre & Rubber (Group) Company Ltd and in May of 2007 renamed as Double Coin Holdings Ltd.

Our brand has grown in popularity every year since then. The slogan ‘Driven the world over’ reflects the quality of our tyres, which is proven worldwide. Double Coin is therefore regularly chosen as a perfect alternative to the well-known premium brands. In addition Double Coin provides tyres to a growing number of truck and trailer Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). Our ambition is to be the worldwide first choice in the transport sector.
